The Hammersmith Amateur Regatta is run by an independent committee under British Rowing Rules of Racing and the RowSafe Safety Code.

Free start, 1400 metres with the tide. The regatta is held on a tidal river under normal Tideway navigation rules. The river WILL NOT be closed to other users.

ENTRIES AND PAYMENTS VIA BRITISH ROWING ONLINE ONLY. Entries close at 14:00 on Saturday 20 April 2019 or when fully subscribed.

Events for the following boat classes are offered in Open and Women’s categories:

DOUBLING UP RULES (**new for 2019**): due to the popularity of our J14, J15 and J16 events, we are limiting the flexibility for how these crews can double up, hoping to simplify the scheduling for all. We have separated these events into two divisions. Competitors may only enter up to one event from division 1 and up to one event from division 2.

All senior, masters and School/Junior events fall under division 3 in which doubling up is permitted and will be accommodated where possible. Competitors entering an event in either division 1 or 2 may also enter an event in division 3.

Entries will be divided into events based on ranking points.

Masters races may be handicapped.

With your entry and/or by email, please advise of any flexibility to ensure competition, such senior status for junior crews, or alternative events.

4- and 2- entries: the committee expects a certain level of experience for these events (under the previous entry system, we had a minimum category of IM2 for these boats), and we reserve the right to exclude boats with particularly low ranking points. If there are mitigating circumstances for your crew then please email with the evidence.

British Rowing membership insurance is only valid for UK residents who are resident in the UK for more than six months in a year.

The draw will be made at 103 Brookwood Avenue, London. SW13 0LU at 14:00 on Saturday 20 April 2019.

We encourage crews to pay their entry fees promptly. Entries still active (not withdrawn) at the time of the draw are expected to pay the full entry fee, even if they subsequently withdraw. Paid entries for which there is no opposition will be refunded.

Enquiries (no entries): Kate Rennoldson,

The timetable will not allow sufficient time for crews to return to Putney or Chiswick between races.

The draw will be available on by the end of Monday 22 April 2019, along with all Competitor’s Instructions.
